Clinical Treatment of High-Functioning Trauma — Clinical Training Course

A clinical training course on treating trauma in clients who look fine on paper — the ones holding the title, the caseload, the household, and the composure, while quietly running on empty.

High-functioning trauma is easy to miss because the client is not in crisis. She is competent, self-reliant, and rarely asks for anything. That presentation gets read as strength, gets fewer sessions, and gets discharged early. This course teaches you to recognize what is underneath it and how to treat it. Taught by Dr. Guan Q. Ellerbe, PsyD, LMHC, LADC I — organizational leadership psychologist, MaMHCA Advanced Certified Clinical Supervisor, and graduate-level clinical educator.
